Chikita Violenta is a quintet based in Mexico City. This band has made its name within the independent rock scene in Mexico. It has also caught the attention of Pitchfork and Spin Magazine. Their second album titled The Stars and Suns Sessions considered already a classic Mexican rock album has also received great reviews. Their second album was also produced in Toronto by David Newfeld from Broken Social Scene, and is poised to come out in September.
