Las Cafeteras Perform La Bamba Rebelde Live [VIDEO]

Back in January, Remezcla announced Las Cafeteras‘ forthcoming album It’s Time. Well, now it finally is time – the East L.A. Son Jarocho outfit is releasing the album into the world today with a celebration in Boyle Heights’ Mariachi Plaza. We caught up with Las Cafeteras last month at this same plaza, where they performed the first single from It’s Time – “La Bamba Rebelde“ – for us and the ever-growing crowd that assembled to hear their exuberant take on this classic. With Mexican Independence Day around the corner, it’s the perfect song for your patria playlist.
