Listen: Kinky ft. Mala Rodriguez in “Negro Día”

Kinky has a new song out, presumably of an upcoming release, and it’s a collaboration with the kinkiest of all rap-en-español femcees: Mala Rodríguez!

Not a stranger at all to guest appearances (from her early collabo with Titán on Y tu mamá también’s soundtrack to her more recents with Bajofondo, Julieta Venegas, Calle 13 and Nelly Furtado) María Rodríguez, a.k.a. La Mala does her best to adapt her Sevillan flow to the up-tempo funk of Gil Cerezo’s band. At first, it may have seemed like an odd combination, specially with her laid-back matter-of-factly delivery, but it makes sense later when she picks up the tempo on the second verse.
