Free Download: Balún’s “El Medio Contenido”

Compilation all-stars Balún are releasing two new songs for Spring (yes, it’s Spring). The first of the duo is “El Medio Contenido,” an almost-five-minute track recorded in Brooklyn and Paris, according to the band’s SoundCloud. The song’s charm takes off during the 1:30 mark, when the music kicks in, layering over the ghostly intonations. An unexpected beat drops, giving the song a trip-hop feel that makes it all sound more dynamic. It’s serene and happy and quite lovely. Download it.
