Andrea Balency Trio is fronted by a Parisian/Argentine/Mexican femme (Argentina and Mexico by adoption) and you can hear that transnationalism in their music. There’s a vintage quality to their look and sound, but there’s also something incredibly fresh about them. For their very first music video, the trio turned to photographer Ragnar Chacín for this grainy, black and white, split-screen character study. The intimate video is for “Mout,” off their EP Mizraïm.
